$14.6M ask on ‘Gatsby-esque’ manse in University Park

A historic Dallas estate has just hit the market for $14.6 million.

The home, located at 7037 Turtle Creek Boulevard in University Park, was first built in 1939. In 2016, the English Eclectic style home was renovated and expanded by Dallas architects Wilson Fuqua and Wilson McClure.

Now, Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty is listing the 12,000 square foot property for the first time in 50 years, according to the Dallas Business Journal. The brokerage described the property as Great Gatsby-esque in its new release announcing the listing.

Inside the six-bedroom home there’s a music room, ballroom, elevator, game room, pet suite, ten bathrooms and all the typical luxuries found in a Dallas mansion. The lot, which covers nearly an acre, also features gardens, fountains, swimming pool and three-car garage. For tax purposes, the property was valued at $4.4 million, according to Zillow.

University Park is where some of the biggest and most expensive homes are built and Volk Estates is its most exclusive subsection. Realtors representing properties frequently claim to have the most expensive homes in North Texas.
